TEST Notified Body (NB 2057), as a third party carries out compulsory conformity assessment of the products with the requirements of Directive 2006/42/EC (MD).
Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2006 on machinery, amending Directive 95/16/EC, was implemented into Polish law by the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 21 October 2008 on essential requirements for machines (Journal of Laws No. 199, item 1228).
Products marketed or put into service must meet the essential requirements for health and safety concerning the design and manufacturing:
b) interchangeable equipment,
c) safety components,
d) lifting accessories,
e) chains, ropes and belts,
f) removable mechanical transmission devices,
g) partly completed machinery;
Before placing machinery on the market or put into service, the manufacturer or his authorized representative shall, among others, to carry out the conformity assessment procedure. For products mentioned above, TEST Body runs voluntary conformity assessment.
TEST Body, respectively for a group of products:
- machinery for underground works of the following types:
– locomotives and brake-vans,
– hydraulic-powered roof supports,
- vehicle lifts
carries out the following conformity assessment procedures:
- EC type-examination,
- full quality assurance,
and for a group of products:
- lifting equipment used for lifting persons or persons and goods involving a hazard of falling more than 3 meters
carries out the following conformity assessment procedure:
- EC type-examination.
Tests that are necessary to confirm the compliance of the essential requirements of the MD Directive in the field of health and safety, are carried out in our accredited testing laboratory No. AB 1552.
